SEASONS GREETINGS FROM: the Stewarts

THE YEAR: 2007— the year Burr's model railroad layout is featured in a magazine! Look for it in the January 2008 Railroad Model Craftsman (at hobby shops and some newsstands now).

THE PHOTO: One model railroad scene, and one rare time we were all together this year!

THE PARENTS: Enjoying each other, yoga, and our work - teaching ESL at community college (Barbara) and managing sustainability/strategic issues at the Port of Seattle (Burr).

THE KIDS: Robin is a second-year PhD student in computer science at MIT. He will have a master's degree at the end of this academic year. He also has created and released a program called Graph Sketcher, and sales are soaring! (Check it out at graphsketcher.com if you have a Mac.) Laurel had a blissful summer singing in an a cappella group on Cape Cod and interning at the Cape Cod Times. Then she took a semester off from the University of Rochester to teach in an elementary school near Boston. She's decided that teaching is definitely in her future.
